The level cap is now 300

Heroes can now reach level 300. Experience earned after that is kept, and two new recall scrolls cover the new levels.

The highest level in Astonia 4 is now 300. In the original game it was 200.

What changed

  • Heroes can level up to 300. Levels follow the original formula: your level is the fourth root of your total experience. Level 200 takes 1.6 billion experience, level 250 takes 3.9 billion and level 300 takes 8.1 billion.
  • Experience you earn after reaching level 300 is not lost. It is saved in its own counter and your experience bar shows the progress. Hover over your level to see the exact amount. For now this experience is only saved; it will get a use later.
  • Two new recall scrolls: one for level 250 and below, and one for level 300 and below. They are sold next to the level 200 scroll, in the same shops.
  • A few places used level 200 as "the highest level": some doors, the highest clan spawner and live quests. They now let every hero above level 200 through.
  • Heroes without the Attack skill, which includes most mages, no longer lose melee attack above level 200.
  • Level 250 and level 300 get the big level-up celebration, like levels 50, 100 and 200. The chat still congratulates every tenth level.

What stays the same

  • Supermax training still goes up to 250 per skill.
  • Monsters keep their original levels.
  • Party experience sharing works as before: heroes within five levels of the killer, close to the kill, who helped in the last minute.

Good to know

Above level 200 there is little to fight yet, and the original rewards grow slowly at that height. Kill experience stops growing at level 118: above that, a kill is worth at most 113 experience. We are working on more ways to grow after 200, starting with a longer Long Tunnel and new army missions and ranks.

The manual explains levels and experience in more detail.
