Laws, rules and regulations

How we play together, player killing and what is punished.

Draft — these rules are being reviewed before the first playtest.

Playing together

Remember that this is a game all of us are playing to have fun. Try not to spoil it. Any player caught misleading other players or scamming them out of their gear or money will be punished or even banned.

The game language on the public chat channels is English. In other places another language is fine when everyone involved speaks it.

Keep your account details to yourself. Nobody from the team will ever ask for your password. You are responsible for what happens with your account.

What is punished

  • Killing another player who is not a player killer, or a clan member outside the rules of war and feud between the clans.
  • Harassing or verbally abusing other players, and foul language.
  • Writing permanently in capital letters, repetitive spamming, and fake shouting meant to harm, insult or mislead.
  • Using macros or training while away from the keyboard. The Macro Daemon may ask you a simple question; answer it within five minutes.
  • Disrespecting team members, ignoring their instructions or pretending to be one of them.
  • Asking other players for their passwords, for whatever reason (the account is locked at once).

Punishments lower a character’s karma. Every character starts at zero and karma cannot be raised again. Characters and accounts with repeated or severe punishments are locked.

Player killing

Player killing is an option you switch on with /playerkiller, from level 10. Player killers add other player killers to their hate list with /hate <name>; those on the list are no longer protected from their attacks. Remove names with /nohate <name>, see the list with /listhate and empty it with /clearhate.

Be careful: attacks have an impact not only on your target but on everyone within the range of your attack, including a player you added to your hate list weeks ago and have since forgotten about.

If something goes wrong

If another player harasses you, type /complain <player> [reason]. You can also /ignore <name>. Scams that could have been prevented by trading safely will not be reversed.
